Just a few miles from Cairns, Kewarra Beach has become one of the most sought after locations for property purchases in Queensland in recent years. History

Like nearby Trinity Beach and other suburbs of Cairns, Kewarra Beach was only recently developed and leans towards holiday accommodation. It was originally used for growing sugar cane and is connected to Cairns via the Captain Cook Highway.

Proper development of the Kewarra Beach we know today only truly began in the 80s and 90s. Since then, it has become a popular location to set up a home and now boasts a population of just over 5,000.

Just a few miles from the busier Cairns city where there are plenty of job opportunities, there are numerous places to walk including the popular Pelican Park that is close to the beach. Shopping in Kewarra Beach can be limited but with Cairns just a 30-minute trip away along the Captain Cook Highway, you have access to all the major stores you could want.
